    Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Will cost?

We charge fixed rates: £150 for a single Will, £200 for mirror Wills. These include your appointment, drafting, and signing support. Additional services (Trusts, LPA, etc.) are optional.

You can include any assets in your own name, such as property, savings, or possessions. You can appoint executors, name beneficiaries, set guardians and trustees, include trusts or exclusions, and leave legacies.

Not always for very simple estates, a DIY or online Will may suffice. But those options lack professional guidance, and mistakes are risky. HeirPlan offers clarity, legal security, and peace of mind.

We’re specialists in estate planning. Our consultants are available evenings and weekends, offer home or video visits. Plus, our fixed-fee pricing means no surprises.

Yes video appointments are available everywhere, so you can benefit from face-to-face consultation without needing someone to come to you.

If you hold a Lifetime Service plan with us, updates are free. If not, amendments or a new Will cost the same as writing one originally.

If your circumstances change such as marriage, divorce, having children, or acquiring new assets you should update your Will to reflect your current wishes. Regularly reviewing your Will ensures it remains valid and appropriate for your situation.

A Will may be too complicated for a standard service if you have a large estate, overseas assets, business interests, or complex family arrangements. In these cases, we suggest seeking professional advice to ensure your wishes are carried out correctly and in line with the law.

To be valid under UK law, a Will must be in writing, signed by the person making it, and witnessed by two people who are not beneficiaries. Laws can vary between England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, so it’s important to check the specific requirements for your region.

If you have more questions or need more help, you can speak or talk to one of our consultants by phone. This FAQ is a general guide and does not constitute legal advice. For personalized support, request a callback and we’ll be happy to assist.
